Thanksgiving

Author's Note: This would be a perfect Thanksgiving for me, and it hopefully paints a picture in your mind.

Smells are wafting in the air as I step down the stairs slowly, as if in a trace, among the smells. I wait at the door waiting for the first of our guests arrive. Ding Dong, the doorbell chimes. I jump out of the seat and open the door and there, standing at the door are all of my relitives. Aunts, uncles, cousins, friends all greet me warmly as I let them in. All of them immediatly at the table waiting for what they came here for. Soon one of the little cousins chants in a loud, obnoxious voice,"I WANT FOOD! I WANT FOOD!" Soon the other kids join in and even the adults, after awile I even here mysel chanting. Then my mom bursts into the room smiling, laughing and holding platters full of mashed potatoes, corn, beans, biscuits, carnberry sauce and other dilicious things. Finally what we've all been waiting for th turkey. My dad is in the room holding up the plate that holds the turkey. Everyone is slilent even the little ones as my dad slices off the first slice of turkey. Soon plates are piled high with everything you could imagine. Okay well mabye not everything...
